It’ll be a short update from me this month. I didn’t play very much or study as much as I should so I don’t have too much to say.
I very likely wont do an update for November and instead will do a final update at the end of December which will include a 2023 recap and writing down some goals for 2024 so expect a long one!
Playing
Lower volume in October due to a break at the start of the month and being pretty inconsistent with the number of sessions I played every week due to being unwell/busy on other things.
Win rate still looking good although a little drop from last month. It is a small sample but at this ABI and my table count, I do think 10+bb/100 is very achievable and that remains the goal.
I have begun diversifying my game with the addition of sites offering smaller and softer fields. The plan is to play the majority of my volume during the week on these sites with the staple games (f.e. the $54 Main on GG and the $55 Mini HR on PS) from the big sites. This’ll hopefully bring less swings and more consistency to my game. I will continue to play the higher variance higher ROI Sundays.

Studying
I continue to build better routines and focused a lot on pre-flop this month.
I’m still not incorporating enough HRC work and relying way too much on GTOWiz so I plan to do some more adjustment work in future.
I am spending far more time on single spots recently, fully trying to break down ranges, EQ distribution, EQ advantage etc. It feels far more productive to spend 10x the amount of time on 1 spot that going through 50 hands in an hour and line checking a single combo.
Seminars picked up again, a few I need to catch up on but I am watching them all even if not live.
